Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build relations with new customers and maintain a customer database
  • Prepare and execute sales action plans
  • Learn and distribute sales and promotional materials
  • Make sales calls to new and existing clients (cold-calling, prospecting, follow-up on company-provided leads)
  • Monitor and follow-up with potential clients
  • Meet or exceed defined goals (calls volumes, sales, etc.)

Skills and Experience

  • Must have great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 1-3 years call experience in a high-volume outbound sales-type role
  • Be persuasive, with good negotiation skills (good people skills)
  • Must be energetic, confident, and persistent.
  • Should know about basic customer service and business principles.
  • Must be able to achieve sales targets.
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce CRM
  • Insurance Clearinghouse Services is a plus, but not mandatory
  • College degree is preferred but not required.
  • A background in Customer Service or Marketing is a plus.

Commission

  • Has experience prioritizing feature requests and defects while considering company strategy and customer priorities and impacts.
  • Can deliver technical and functional requirements in a clear and concise manner.
  • Thrives on being a product and industry expert so that they can become a trusted advisor for internal teams and customers.
  • Can speak the language, both in writing and in person, of an engineer, marketing manager, and various other stakeholders.
  • Promotes innovative ideas and works as a team to discover, propose, and implement solutions that will improve productivity, quality, and usability of our software.
  • Predict impacts, avoid disruptions, and pursue actions that are likely to succeed.
  • Keeps their team energized, unified, and moving towards a common goal.
  • Has experience and enjoys working in an agile development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a business analyst role
  • Have worked as a ‘product owner’ in agile software development
  • Must be able to communicate at various levels, appropriate to the audience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

General Description

VisionWeb is hiring a Director of Sales to lead our sales organization into the next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO and driving our revenue, this position will have a huge impact on the future of VisionWeb.

As the driving force of Uprise Sales, the newly launched, best in class cloud based EHR and PM system, the primary responsibility is in fulfilling the company vision of nation-wide expansion and eye care market domination.

This new member of our executive team will define the vision for how VisionWeb can own the market, and then execute on the plan to make it happen. S/he will draw from his/her extensive experience and success, bring new perspectives and solutions to enable exponential growth. As a trusted advisor to the CEO, our new Director of Sales must be an authentic collaborator and a proactive, strategic problem solver.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of 5-9 including sales reps, account managers, ISRs and BDRs
  • Manage and set clear, measurable performance goals for all direct reports
  • Refine and execute multi-channel go to market strategy (online, offline, channel partners) for achieving the company’s sales goals
  • Create a culture of success within the team, with ongoing business and goal achievement
  • Build out sales team and processes to align with goals and optimize growth
  • Bring expertise to current sales training programs to further enable team to achieve potential and support company sales objectives
  • Set key sales metrics, activities, dashboards, and CRM sales processes
  • Work very closely with the Marketing Team to establish successful support and integrate strategies
  • 50%+ travel to build market, in-person meetings, customers, partners and VIPs to develop key relationships

Qualifications and Experience

  • 7-10 years of strong sales leadership experience. Proven ability to manage and develop individual performers and managers.
  • 7-10 years of selling software solutions to small doctor market with Electronic Health Record (EHR) / PM systems and SAAS models preferred.
  • Proven track record of building out sales force, KPIs, and processes that achieved/exceeded quotas and company objectives both as an individual contributor and manager.
  • Proven success in new product sales growth and building from the ground up
  • Ability to get up to speed on industry and products quickly
  • Strong expertise in managing accounts, opportunities, and activity in CRM
  • Ability to leverage relationships with multi-sales channels both internally and externally
  • Expertise in developing online and offline strategies that enable sales growth and meet objectives
  • Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities
  • Proven success in hiring, building out training programs, and onboarding sales
  • Successful experience building and managing territories
  • Proven experience working within a small-medium company environment
  • Strong experience with inside sales models
  • Passion to learn, to try new things, fail fast, and most importantly win
