General Description

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Engineer works closely with our technology teams to build out, and maintain production infrastructure and test environments. The Operations Engineer will be responsible for ongoing configuration and operations

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support, configure and maintain LAN devices - routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitoring of network security & performance (availability, utilization, etc.).
  • Build, deploy, and support Windows & Linux Servers.
  • Active Directory management
  • Supporting customer facing web services including IIS
  • TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP, Subnetting)
  • Works with other technical staff and application personnel to resolve technical issues as required.
  • Supporting VMWare environments.
  • Maintains courteous rapport and friendly customer relations with users at their level of understanding.
  • Data backup technologies
  • Interact directly with vendors for wide range of cyber security products; communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Engage with and support clients to ensure the use cases and testing represent the challenges faced in product deployment.
  • Review test harness and Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents.
  • Performs installation of approved software on computer/mobile devices, following the standard procedures.
  • Configures and installs software upgrades/fixes or patches.
  • Assists with evaluation, analysis and maintenance of equipment to meet technical and security standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hands on experience of network security as applied to infrastructure - VLAN segmentation, routing and firewall management.
  • Expert TCP/IP networking, networking architectures, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with multi-vendor VPNs (user and site to site), setup, trouble shooting, and problem resolution.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with security products, whether network, endpoint, or operational forensics.
  • Packet analysis and network protocol-dissection skills, using tools such as Wireshark.
  • Knowledge of network device performance testing.
  • MS Windows and Linux network administration experience; troubleshooting skills in MS Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional documentation, presentation and communication skills.

In this position you’ll be resolving complex technical issues, working with customers, both internal and external, to ensure both product and customer service expectations are exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, troubleshooting, and resolving escalated support cases
  • Maintaining clear communication with customers and team members to ensure all issues are thoroughly resolved, focusing on Customer Satisfaction
  • Consistently follow documented processes and procedures.
  • Creating thorough resolution documentation based on company procedures.
  • Participating in pre-release testing for new products when appropriate
  • Work with all teams in our Agile work environment to continue to improve our product and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to Tier 1 teams via direct person-to-person support, chat room communication, and training session

Requirements

  • Analytical, creative troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate about technical issues with people at all levels of technical acumen
  • Great interpersonal and customer service skills, able to act with an appropriate sense of urgency to resolve problems
  • Understanding of relational database applications
  • Understanding of web server technologies
  • 3 years supporting software solutions for external customers
  • Experience with SQL Server databases
  • Strong Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft office suite of products
  • Experience using remote connection software
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and shift focus on various projects

Preferred

  • Technical customer support experience, preferably in a high-tech SaaS industry

VisionWeb, a leading player in the optical industry with the largest customer base, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative who is results-driven, proactive and determined to join our team. This position is responsible for initiating and building lasting relationships with eye care physicians, and driving sales growth with our EHR software, Uprise. As a driving force for Uprise, you will actively ensure member service levels are of the highest quality, assist with the company vision of nation-wide success, engage in outside sales, and deliver the value our service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish a trusted sales advisor relationship with each assigned lead/account and drive continued value of our products and services.
  • Conduct direct sales activities via phone calls, email and face-to-face interactions
  • Prospect, develop and follow up on leads, which include: Increasing adoption (sales), ensuring retention, and satisfaction.
  • Manage a sales pipeline and monthly sales forecast, as well as activity tracking within VisionWeb’s CRM.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, associations, supplier meetings and other marketing presentations
  • Prepare, deliver and close sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Customer Success teams to ensure successful implementation of customer solutions.
  • Maintain primary day-to-day contact with suppliers to ensure member sales and service levels are of high quality
  • Sell the value of Uprise to prospects by articulating how our solutions meet their needs and improve their business process.
  • Proactively engage with current customers to look for upselling opportunities and ensure satisfaction.
  • Work to identify and/or develop upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years (5) of documented eye care practice management (PM) and electronic health record (EHR) sales history exceeding sales quotas.
  • Comfortable navigating complex sales cycles, including ability to manage deals with stakeholders
  • Thrives at efficiency and rapid deadlines.
  • Demonstrate strong lead generation skills and disciplined sales administration skills.
  • Experience working inside a CRM system, preferably Salesforce, and within a defined sales process.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous value of our product(s).
  • Familiarity working with customers of all sizes.
  • Impeccable oral, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
  • Strong team player as well as a self-starter

  • Proficient in eye care delivery model, workflows including exams.
